Washington contractor bond requirements
Under RCW 18.27.040, a Washington contractor registering with L&I must file a surety bond of:

| General contractor | $30,000 |
| Specialty contractor | $15,000 |
The bond must be issued by a surety insurer meeting chapter 48.28 RCW. Contractors must also carry general liability insurance to register.
